Davante Adams Claims Aaron Rodgers Did Not “Produce Me”

Long thought to be only an outcome of Aaron Rodgers’ success, Davante Adams dispelled the myth during his first season in Las Vegas with the audacious declaration, “A quarterback don’t make me, I make me.” Adams is now emphasizing the sentiment that this comment sparked, which has generated a lot of controversy.

Jets would be hoping to get Aaron Rodgers back playing for them soon

Adams expressed his thoughts straight when Emmanuel Acho questioned him about the reasoning behind his prior remarks on SPEAK. The standout receiver described himself as a direct person who wished to emphasize that his ability and hard effort are the reasons he is among the NFL’s best wide receivers.

Davante Adams talks about Aaron Rodgers comparison

Even though Adams is aware that having a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers might improve one’s game, he is adamant that the quarterback doesn’t determine how successful a player is. He declared firmly,

Everybody thought that maybe he’s just a product of Aaron Rodgers. That’s just me saying ‘I’m absolutely not.’ I am my own player. I’m a generational talent and I take a tremendous amount of pride in what I do, which is what led to me being the player that I am.”

Adams understood the importance of having a solid supporting group to boost performance, having done it with the Packers and now the Raiders. He did stress, though, that his accomplishments are the product of years of devoted work.

Remarkably, Adams disclosed that he had personally spoken with Rodgers on this same subject. Adams’ position was accepted by both players, with the receiver believing that the public overreacted to his remarks. His remarks were intended to highlight his own abilities on the field rather than to lessen Rodgers’ influence.
