Words like “nice guy” and “family man” come to mind when discussing Brock Purdy. These are good, pleasant attributes. But nobody connects the description of a “physical beast” with the 49ers quarterback. So, when viewers and commentators saw the quarterback’s enormous quadriceps from a training camp photo session, they were both shocked and surprised. George Kittle, a 49ers player who supported Purdy from Day 1 on, wasn’t at all taken aback.
Regarding Purdy’s purported physical metamorphosis, Kittle was asked to weigh in on a recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show. Though the QB has had such large quads since his freshman year, the TE rejected this question.

Kittle, on the other hand, attributed this unexpected uncertainty to the media’s exclusive focus on Purdy’s nice boy persona and the label of “Mr. Irrelevant.” He said,
“He’s had that [massive quads] since he was a rookie. You guys just don’t see it cuz the media tells you he’s just this little kid wearing a JCPenney’s backpack. That’s what everyone says… You just got to see it for yourself, Rich… He’s a monster.. l love him.”
George’s revelation that Purdy has been strong since his freshman season was unexpected, but the best part of the conversation came when he made a humorous Pokemon allusion to rate the quadriceps of Nick Bosa, Brock, and McCaffrey.
