The New York Jets have made it apparent that they don’t mind if Aaron Rodgers skips the required minicamp in order to travel to Egypt. The Jets are ok without Rodgers and are moving on, according to Connor Hughes of SNY. Rodgers had scheduled his vacation to Egypt while he was healing from his Achilles injury, Hughes added, since it gave him something to look forward to during a difficult period in his career.
It’s important to remember that Rodgers, an experienced quarterback, ought to have known when minicamps were held and about the NFL’s offseason schedule. Hughes wrote,
“Rodgers originally pieced this trip together during his recovery from his Achilles injury,”. “It gave him something to look forward to during one of the lowest points of his career. He’s long admired Egyptian culture and scheduled the visit for what was believed to be after the offseason programs.”

He might not have been aware of the precise dates, but he ought to have had a rough notion. However, Rodgers hasn’t said outright that his trip was organized well in advance; the Jets are the ones expressing this.
The Jets head coach Robert Saleh responded to the situation by saying that Rodgers’ absence was “unexcused,” which caused some controversy. The Jets, though, appear to have decided to put this behind them and concentrate on their forthcoming endeavors.
