Due to a neck injury he received earlier this week in an automobile accident, rookie Nate Wiggins of the Baltimore Ravens will miss the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
At a press conference, head coach John Harbaugh said that Wiggins would not be available for the game on Sunday. Harbaugh stated:
“Nate was in a car accident a couple of days ago,”. “Looks like he’s not gonna be able to make it to the game.” “He’s fine. He’s healthy. He’s fine, but just not gonna be able to play,”

When Will Nate Wiggins be back ?
Although Wiggins’ injury will prevent him from playing for the time being, Harbaugh guaranteed that the cornerback is otherwise in good health. In Week 1, Wiggins—the 30th overall choice by the Ravens in the 2024 NFL Draft—made his debut, collecting one tackle in the team’s close defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Ravens’ secondary is weaker without him, though it’s uncertain how he’ll feel going into Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys. It’s interesting to note that Wiggins is not the only player for the Ravens to suffer an automobile mishap this year.
Mark Andrews was traveling to practice when he encountered a similar circumstance, although he thankfully avoided harm. With Wiggins out, the Ravens will try to overcome their loss in Week 1 and win their first game of the year against the Raiders.
As the club navigates the early portion of the season, Wiggins’ teammates will step up in his absence while he continues to heal.
