Once Again, Caitlin Clark Leaves Her Mark in the WNBA Record Books

She’s young and enjoying herself on the court. As the Indiana Fever star was doing on Friday, rookie phenom Caitlin Clark once again made history by holding the record for the most assists in a single season in the WNBA.

Clark holds the league record with her 317th assist of the year, and she is eager to continue adding to it. Since this is yet another significant achievement in her still-evolving professional career, Alyssa Thomas was the prior owner of the mark.

She finished the game with 18 points and nine assists, which helped her set a new record. Unfortunately for her and her team, the Fever lost to the Las Vegas Aces 78-74.

Following a string of record-breaking performances while playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes in college, Caitlin Clark was selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She has finished second in the NCAA Tournament twice, led Division I in assists and scoring three times, and won two Player of the Year awards while representing her university. She had already set rookie records in her professional career, dating back to her very first game as an official member of the Indiana Fever.

She broke the record for a rookie player in this category with her 20 points and three assists during the game. She is ready to keep getting better and breaking records.
