Tom Brady Calls Bill Belichick a “New School” Football Coach

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady‘s relationship soured after TB12 left New England. Both of them have subsequently altered their career trajectories, though, and are now working in the sports media sector. Tom has brought his skills to the booth, while the eight-time Super Bowl champion coach has found fresh life and success in the media.

During his appearance on Bill’s Let’s Go podcast, the former quarterback made jokes about the previous head coach becoming a new, hip coach in town. Brady, who considers himself more “old-school,” openly calls Bill a “new-wave coach” at the beginning of the show.

Despite being a “old dog,” he was shocked to see his previous head coach stay on top of trends, pick up new skills, and adapt to the times. TB12 called it a cool occasion and acknowledged that he never imagined he’d see the day.

” Here we go. It’s nice. OG is back, new school. Who knew I’m old school and you’re new school school coach, That’s pretty cool.”

Belichick joked and smiled at the analogy, assuring Tom that he would soon catch up. The three-time MVP then expressed admiration for Bill Belichick‘s breadth of football knowledge and commended his former coach’s latest endeavor, The Coaching Show with Nick Saban. Brady emphasized how much he liked listening to them talk about the game and exchange their anecdotes and perspectives. It’s wonderful to see Brady and Bill getting along and repairing their differences.

Watching the two establish themselves in the media industry is entertaining for fans. But after a year, Belichick might decide to return to coaching, which is his actual vocation.
