Will Reichard, a Kicker for the Vikings, Only Slept for Four Hours Before Going Three on Three Against the Jets, According to His Wife

Vikings rookie kicker Will Reichard has gone 9 for 9 on field-goal attempts in his first five games in the NFL. However, his most impressive performance occurred during the Vikings‘ game versus the Jets abroad, where the Alabama alumnus had two 50-yard or more passes. His wife’s admission that the rookie slept very little before the match adds even more significance to the game-winning performance.

As the NFL community began praising Will’s performance against the Jets, the rookie’s wife, Amelia, took to Instagram to provide additional background on his outstanding performance. Amelia shared on her Instagram story that the couple struggled to adjust to the time difference when they traveled to London. She wrote :

“Each night one of us hasn’t been able to sleep. This time change thing has been hard,”

Will was only able to get four hours of sleep before the crucial game against the Jets, according to the kicker’s wife. She added :  “He slept 4 hours last night and is somehow still able to do what he needs to. Thankful is not enough,”

Four hours of sleep the night before a game is completely insufficient for an NFL athlete. The physical strain that Will may have experienced due to jet lag exacerbates the condition. The youngster is rightfully deserving of all the praise for overcoming these hurdles and still kicking cleanly for more than fifty yards.
