Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, appears to be human after all. their team lost to the Atlanta Falcons 27–21, and their star quarterback, Dak Prescott, was hurt during the game.
Late in the third quarter, the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback injured his right leg on an incomplete pass on second-and-20, and Cooper Rush took his place. The anguish was too much for him to endure, yet he remained on the field for the subsequent play.
Jerry Jones, the owner of the Lone Star squad, was worried about Prescott’s injury as he left Mercedes Benz Stadium. Jerry said : “I’m gutted about that… I was concerned when I saw the play or saw him react to whatever weakness he may have had there in his thigh. We just have to take a look at it.”
The extent of the injury will be assessed following Prescott’s Monday MRI at an Arlington clinic, but Jones is optimistic that Prescott will be back in the starting lineup for their Sunday game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott said : “I felt something I had never felt before,”. “It will take a lot for me not to play.”
Despite this setback, Jones offered words of support for Cooper Rush and dismissed the Cowboys’ defeat, which puts them out of the postseason picture.
“I’ll be very honest with you guys: you have to give Rush something positive here… He came in and I’m proud of him. I think he played well.”
