One of the NBA’s top defenders is Rudy Gobert, a center for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The French big man has made a name for himself as one of the top rim-protecting basketball players.

When Minnesota played the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, it was evident that Gobert is aware of his boundaries and which players he does not want to interfere with.
Rudy Gobert stays away from Russell Westbrook
After a fantastic dunk on a play in the fourth quarter, Christian Braun, a guard for the Nuggets, ridiculed Gobert. The French center attempted retaliation because he was not at all pleased with his opponent’s gesture.
The players got into a fight and had to be separated. Russell Westbrook, a guard for the Nuggets, began sprinting toward Gobert’s direction at that point. With a terrified expression, the center hurried away upon seeing his opponent.
The officials defused the scene by awarding Gobert and Braun technical fouls. The Wolves defeated the Nuggets 119-116, improving Minnesota’s record to 3-2 and dropping Denver to 2-3.

In 36 minutes of playing time, Gobert finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists, while Braun finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. The Nuggets are among the poorest teams in the Conference thus far, and the T-wolves are now in seventh place in the Western Conference.
