Travis Hunter’s fiancee Leanna Lenee recently had to do something pretty wild to prove that she’s mixed race. She had to reveal her parents’ background to show that she’s got some diversity in her!
I mean, it’s crazy that in this day and age, people still question someone’s heritage. But Leanna took it all in stride and decided to set the record straight. She probably got tired of everyone speculating and making assumptions that she is white.
But honestly, it’s a shame that she even had to go through all of this. It just shows how society still has these preconceived notions about what someone should look like based on their race. Well, Leanna proved them all wrong, and good for her!
According to SI;
Lenee was born an hour outside of London, England, in November 2001, making her a Sagittarius. She’s a mix of Black, Mexican, and Filipino. She spent her first 10 years across the sea before coming to the U.S. at the age of 10 and lived in Savannah, Georgia. She described coming to the States as “a culture shock.” You can still hear her accent in her voice when she speaks.
Lenee graduated Kennesaw State University in Atlanta Georgia in Dec. of 2022, and shockingly completed her four-year degree in only two years.
So, kudos to Leanna for standing up and proving that she’s proud of her mixed-race identity. The wild assumptions about her being white have now been put to rest!
