Following significant structural changes at FS1, longtime TV personality and podcast host Joy Taylor is formally leaving FOX Sports after almost ten years with the network.
The decision follows a more extensive network reorganization that saw the elimination of three key programs: The Facility, Breakfast Ball, and Speak. Andrew Marchand of The Athletic claims that because Taylor’s contract was not extended, these cancellations essentially put an end to her tenure with the organization.
Over the years, Taylor, 38, has established herself as a recognized face at FOX, first as the moderator of Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe and then as co-host of The Herd with Colin Cowherd. She collaborated with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce on Speak in more recent years.
However, the modifications weren’t made overnight. In the past year, Taylor’s name has been associated with scandal, especially after it was brought up in a lawsuit alleging that she had harassed a former coworker and had amorous ties to Charlie Dixon, a top executive at FOX Sports, and Emmanuel Acho, an ex-cohost.
Given that Dixon oversaw the initial development of all three of the canceled series, these accusations have drawn attention. FS1 has not yet responded to the controversy or acknowledged whether it was involved in the reorganization of the programming.
