Here’s the scoop on LeBron James and his legal team going after the creators of that viral AI-generated content that showed him as pregnant. It all started when some clever folks used artificial intelligence to ride on James’ fame for views.
But LeBron wasn’t too thrilled about it and his legal team swooped in to protect his image rights. They’re not messing around. They’re taking action to ensure that this kind of content doesn’t harm LeBron’s brand or reputation.
Throughout 2025, AI-generated videos of James circulated on social media, gaining millions of views. Some of these videos showcased him in very inappropriate scenarios, such as standing by while an AI-generated version of Diddy sexually assaulted Steph Curry in prison. Other videos showcased James as a homeless person, on his knees with his tongue sticking out, and even as a pregnant individual.
These videos were made using a tool called Interlink AI, which operates on a larger AI generation platform known as FlickUp. Recently, James’ legal team has taken action against the creators of these disturbing pregnancy videos in an effort to stop the misuse of AI.
“At least three Instagram accounts that had garnered millions of views on nonconsensual AI videos of James have been deleted by Instagram. When asked by 404 Media whether it had received a cease-and-desist letter from James, Meta refused to comment,” via 404Media.
James’ legal team has issued cease-and-desist letters to people creating AI-generated videos depicting him as pregnant, leading to their Instagram accounts being banned. Over the years, several well-known individuals have fallen victim to these AI-generated videos.
So, moral of the story? Don’t mess with LeBron James or his legal team. They mean business, even when it comes to viral memes.
