You won’t believe this wild story about Timothy Taylor from New York! So get this, he admitted to stabbing his ex-wife, Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, a whopping 22 times. Can you imagine? And get this – he said he did it because he felt guilty about killing his wife!
I mean, talk about a double whammy of a confession. Like, what was this man thinking? It’s like scene out of a crazy crime show. Like, who even does that?
Timothy Taylor pleaded guilty to the murder of Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, his ex-wife and mother of two of his children, in Schenectady, N.Y., the county district attorney said in a press release.
Folkes-Taylor was stabbed in her home on May 28, 2023, prosecutors said. Taylor had traveled to the upstate New York home from North Carolina.
At the time, prosecutors said, Taylor was wanted in connection with the murder of his current wife in Brooklyn, where he had been living. He still faces a pending indictment on a separate murder charge in connection with the other woman’s death, according to the district attorney.
Taylor was eventually arrested on June 2, 2023 in Philadelphia, and extradited back to New York on murder charges.
“[Taylor] told the detectives that after he had killed his then-current wife, he felt bad, and he knew he had to come to Schenectady to kill his former wife because he harbored so much animosity toward her and in his words, she, unlike his first victim, deserved it,” the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
As the result of his guilty plea in the murder of Folkes-Taylor, Taylor will be sentenced to 22 years to life in prison.
Either way, this Timothy Taylor man is in some serious trouble now. I can’t even wrap my head around the craziness of this whole situation. Just goes to show you, you never know what someone is capable of.
