Robert Griffin III Reveals Bear Bachmeier’s Family Sometimes Eats Dinner Naked

Robert Griffin III apparently decided that a college football broadcast needed a little family dinner drama.

During the Fox Sports broadcast, the former NFL quarterback and current college football analyst made a very unexpected claim about BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier.

According to Griffin, Bachmeier told him that his family sometimes eats dinner together without clothes.

Yes, no uniforms, no pajamas. Apparently, just vibes.

The strange revelation came during BYU’s game at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. The broadcast showed Bachmeier’s mom, April, sitting in the stands.

That was apparently all the inspiration Griffin needed.

“He [Bear] told us that at the dinners, you know, sometimes they just, they just take the clothes off and they walk around naked,” Griffin said during the fourth quarter, as seen in a clip making the rounds on Blue Sky.

“You naked at your dinners with the family?”

Play-by-play announcer Connor Onion responded, “Do I have to answer that?”

Both Griffin and Onion were not shown on the broadcast during this exchange.

“You don’t have to answer that because I don’t think anybody listening right now really kind of does that,” Griffin said.

“America, it’s up to your imagination,” Onion added.

Griffin did not elaborate.

The whole moment was a reminder that live television comes with absolutely no shortage of surprises.

One second, you are watching football, the next, you are wondering why the broadcast team is discussing a quarterback’s family dinner habits.

Griffin certainly gave viewers something to talk about. Whether they wanted to know it is another question entirely.

But one thing is certain: nobody watching that game expected the family dinner table to become one of the biggest talking points of the broadcast.
