Tyler Marsh, the Sky Coach, Was Dismissed After Vehemently Opposing the No-Call

The Sky have had a difficult season, even though they upset the Liberty on Thursday. With a 9–26 record going into Saturday, Chicago was only one game ahead of the Sun, their equally dreary rival.

But it didn’t take long for the Sky’s situation to deteriorate further. Early in the second quarter, Chicago center and forward Elizabeth Williams missed a jumper while being harassed by two Connecticut defenders as her team was behind 33–20. Marsh, furious that there had been no foul call, rushed to a referee and expressed his annoyance as the official coolly dismissed him from the match.

Moving forward A group of Sky players and coaches, including Angel Reese, hurried to restrain Marsh and prevent him from receiving any more punishment. After serving as an Aces assistant for three years and winning two WNBA titles, Marsh is in his first season as Chicago’s head coach.

The outcome of this season is probably going to be different, and the Sky fell behind the Sun 55–41 at the break, which was fair given their disappointing record.
