On Monday, most NBA teams hosted media days, providing basketball fans with their first glimpse of their best players as they get ready for the upcoming campaign.
For the first time since Flagg was selected earlier this year, the Mavericks would be able to watch their new trio of stars—Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Cooper Flagg—together in Dallas on one of the most eagerly awaited media days.

There was some news in addition to the trio’s photos, which will undoubtedly make Mavs supporters hope for a deep postseason run. Davis disclosed that his physicians had ordered him to wear protective eyewear for the remainder of his playing career.
Although Davis’ surgery to repair a detached retina during the summer was successful, it appears that he will need to exercise extra caution going ahead.
Although it will be a novel style for Davis, many NBA greats, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Hakeem Olajuwon, have worn goggles during their careers. Davis is only the most recent to carry on their noble tradition of eye protection.
