Get this – there was a hot mic moment after the Eagles’ win over the Chiefs where Jalen Hurts was caught trash-talking Chris Jones! The tension was real after that game, and Jalen definitely didn’t hold back.
We all know that trash talk is just part of the game, but it’s always wild when we get a sneak peek behind the scenes like this. You got to wonder what was said and how Chris Jones reacted to it.
The Eagles picked up from their Week 1 opener vs. the Cowboys, getting another fixture in the wins column via a 20-17 victory over their Super Bowl opponents on Sunday, though fans felt they had help from the referees.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, are on a three-game losing streak dating back to the big game in February, losing to the Chargers in Brazil last week and failing to make up for it in today’s game.
Philadelphia lined up in victory formation twice to end the contest, running the clock down with a pair of QB kneels. A hot mic caught Jones telling Hurts he didn’t even get 100 yards. Hurts responded by telling him the Eagles won the game, adding a few choice words at the end.
Next time you see these two on the field, you know there’s going to be some drama. Stay here for the next chapter in this epic showdown.
