Strahinja Jokic, the brother of Nikola Jokic, was sentenced to a year of probation following a physical altercation with a spectator during a 2024 Nuggets playoff match.
Prosecutors in Denver revealed that a judge imposed the sentence on Friday after Strahinja pleaded guilty to one charge of trespassing and one charge of disorderly conduct.
This case was initiated against Jokic’s brother after the Nuggets faced the Lakers in a playoff game on April 22, 2024. Footage captured Strahinja apparently hitting a man in the face after the final buzzer, with officials alleging that the punch resulted in a concussion.
Initially, Strahinja pleaded not guilty, claiming he was defending an elderly individual nearby. He had been seen attending Nikola’s games on multiple occasions prior to the incident, but it remains uncertain if he has returned to Ball Arena to see the three-time MVP play since then.
As for Nikola, he is preparing for his 11th season in the NBA, which is set to start later this month.
