Tyson Fury, Wayne Rooney, and Various Celebrities Paid Their Respects to Ricky Hatton During His Funeral

On Friday, thousands of fans, including numerous prominent figures, gathered in the streets of Manchester to honor the late Ricky Hatton.

Among the most notable attendees were Tyson Fury and his brother, Tommy, along with Amir Khan, Frank Bruno, and Conor and Nigel Benn, all showing their support and respect.

As you may know, Hatton passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 46.

In a video shared just before he went to the memorial, Fury referred to Hatton as a source of inspiration who played a significant role in shaping him into the celebrated boxer he is today. Fury mentioned: “I wanted to be just like him,”

Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United player, was also present at the service, alongside singer Liam Gallagher. It was a grand farewell for the boxing legend. While the funeral took place at Manchester Cathedral, mourners gathered along the streets as the procession made its way through the city.

The procession passed by the former pub owned by Hatton’s parents, the gym where he trained, and the AO Arena, where he triumphed over Kostya Tszyu in 2005.

Hatton was discovered deceased at his home in England last month. Although the cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, police have stated that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
