Ja Morant Says He’s Lost His Joy After Grizzlies Loss To The Lakers

Ja Morant has confirmed he is not happy with the Memphis Grizzlies following loss to the Lakers.

Hold the phone! Ja Morant says he’s lost his joy? This could mean one thing: trade is in the making. After the Memphis Grizzlies got cooked by the Los Angeles Lakers, Ja is now not of himself anymore.

And of course, the internet did what the internet does best, roast and console at the same time.

When asked if Morant has his usual joy at the moment, the point guard answered, “No,” per Damichael Cole of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

When asked what can be done to get his joy back, Morant said, “We’ll see.”

And this is what Ja Morant had to tell reporters when asked about what really went wrong for him.

Morant told reporters to “go ask the coaching staff.” He was then asked why he didn’t have his usual energy, to which he replied, “Go ask the coaching staff why.”

He also responded to what Grizzlies could have done better to avoid the defeat.

“According to them, probably don’t play me, honestly,” Morant said. “That’s basically what the message was after.”

And on Morant’s one-game suspension for misconduct, this is what Shams Charania had to say about it from his sources.

The suspension came “as a result of Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo challenging Morant’s leadership and effort in a postgame exchange after a loss to the Lakers on Friday night — to which Morant responded in a tone deemed inappropriate.”

Well, it appears the Memphis Grizzlies would have a tough time without Ja Morant and this calls for a drastic measure to be taken by the head coach.

But don’t count Ja out. He’s too talented, too wild, and way too stubborn to be ruled out.
