Former “Teacher of the Year” Sade Delesia Nacheyle Nelson is in trouble for trying to run over baby daddy in Walmart parking lot.
Well, folks, grab your popcorn, because Walmart has done it again. The parking lot that has seen more drama than a reality show just added a new episode starring none other than Sade Delesia Nacheyle Nelson, a former “Teacher of the Year” who apparently decided to teach her baby daddy a lesson of crime and regret.
Sade Delesia Nacheyle Nelson, a 2025 award winner at St. John’s High School in Charleston, South Carolina, allegedly assaulted the father of her child and his girlfriend during an Oct. 18 custody exchange, Live5News reported.
Nelson, 37, allegedly punched her baby daddy and his girlfriend, and witnesses reported that she had attempted to ram him with her car, police said.
Well, seeing Nelson’s picture, you wouldn’t even suggest she could attempt doing such a crazy thing.
She is charged with third-degree assault and battery, domestic violence of a high aggravated nature, unlawfully placing a child at risk of or causing harm or willfully abandoning a child.
Nelson claimed it was her child’s father who had struck her and her son after opening her car door.
Sade Delesia Nacheyle Nelson also had her side of the story to share to the police.
She told police she then proceeded to walk to his car so she could photograph the license plate, when he knocked her to the ground.
The footage shows the child’s father leaning into Nelson’s car. Nelson is also seen walking to the baby daddy’s car, and leaning into an open door.
The father of her child then walked over and knocked her to the ground, according to the report.
She allegedly then proceeded to attack the man until bystanders intervened.
Nelson then allegedly fled the scene with her son before police arrived, and said a friend had told her she would speak to the cops on her behalf.
According to the Charleston County School District spokesperson Andy Pruitt, Nelson is placed on leave until investigation is concluded.
“Because this is a personnel matter and an active investigation, the district cannot provide any additional details at this time,” he said.
If there’s a moral to this story, it’s simple: keep your cool, keep your car in park, and keep your baby far away from your drama.
