A’ja Wilson was happy about Fox Sports analyst Rachel Nichols joking about Sam Presti scouting Wilson and Bam Adebayo’s future kids.
Sometimes a joke sounds funny in someone’s head. Then it leaves their mouth. Then the internet sets it on fire.
That is exactly what happened when Rachel Nichols made a joke about Thunder GM Sam Presti scouting the future baby of A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo during a sonogram. Yes. A sonogram. Inside the womb. Full NBA Draft vibes.
Rachel clearly meant it as humor. Lighthearted. Playful. Very “sports media clever.” But A’ja Wilson was not laughing. Not even a little.
Instead, A’ja did what she does best. She shaded calmly. Smoothly. With precision. Like a fadeaway jumper to the soul.
Nichols asked the reigning MVP the non-basketball-related question as a follow-up to a joke a person made about Presti being at Wilson and Adebayo’s baby sonogram during one of Wilson’s interviews.
The Thunder star chuicked a bit after hearing the question. He gave a sound response to the question.
“Sam takes his job very seriously, and whatever it takes to be great, he will do so if that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes,” SGA said.
And here comes A’ja Wilson with her shade!
“Yall don’t think this a lil strange orrrr weird..??? But I guess it’s a slow day in the office 😐” Wilson commented.
And Bam Adebayo also jumped in the commentssectionto say;
“This why privacy matters.”
A’ja Wilson is one of the best players on the planet and she should not have to swat away jokes about her womb like bad passes.

In the end, the moment passed. Rachel moved on. A’ja stayed unbothered but very clear. And the internet learned, once again, that not every joke needs to be told out loud.
