The venue itself claims that even if Taylor Swift were to put a “Blank Space” on a check, she would still be unable to purchase her ideal wedding date from another couple.
Here’s the deal: according to a recent story, the singer-songwriter wants to wed Travis Kelce at Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island, on June 13 of next year. However, that date has already been reserved for another bride and groom.
Money can’t buy you love, but it can buy you a beautiful, romantic venue, so Taylor reportedly unzipped her pocketbook and dropped a bag to reclaim her chosen date.
However, Stephanie Leavitt, Area Director of Sales & Marketing at Ocean House, tells TMZ that they would never permit a couple to purchase the wedding date of another.
According to Leavitt:
“When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family. Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date.”
Swift’s wealth won’t help her in this situation; the venue is adamant that it won’t allow it.
