Aileen Lopera, the ex-girlfriend of New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, has dropped her paternity and child support lawsuit against him following a DNA test that confirmed he is the father of her daughter, according to court documents.
Lopera filed to dismiss the case on Jan. 20, her attorney, Tamar G. Arminak, confirmed.
“The matter has been resolved,” Arminak said in a statement.
The lawsuit, filed in December 2024 in Los Angeles County, alleged that Diggs, 32, fathered Lopera’s daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, born April 2, 2025. Lopera claimed the child was conceived during a relationship with Diggs and sought to establish paternity, sole custody with visitation for Diggs, child support, coverage of pregnancy expenses and legal fees.
Diggs responded to the suit on July 17, 2025, requesting genetic testing to confirm paternity and, if proven, joint legal and physical custody.
On Nov. 6, 2025, Arminak announced that a DNA test had proven Diggs was the father.
“We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father. And, we are hopeful that he will meaningfully contribute to the child’s life and coparent with our client who has had to do everything on her own thus far,” the attorney said at the time.
The decision to drop the case comes as the parties have opted to handle the matter privately following the test results. No additional details on the resolution were disclosed.
The legal proceedings have highlighted Diggs’ complex personal life, which has drawn significant public scrutiny amid his high-profile relationship with rapper Cardi B, 33. Diggs and Cardi B began dating in early 2025, with Cardi announcing her pregnancy with their child in September 2025. She gave birth to their son on Nov. 13, 2025. Cardi shares three other children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset.
Allegations and reports suggest Diggs has fathered multiple children during the timeline of his relationship with Cardi B. In addition to Charliee with Lopera—conceived prior to but born shortly after the start of his romance with Cardi—Diggs has been linked to at least two other children born or conceived in 2025. Reports confirm he is the father of an 8-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship, born in 2016.
Further complicating matters, Lopera filed a second paternity lawsuit in late 2025, alleging Diggs is the father of her unborn child, expected in spring 2026. This child would have been conceived around mid-2025, well into Diggs’ relationship with Cardi B. Additionally, in December 2025, Diggs publicly acknowledged having “three newborns at the same time,” revealing another baby boy whose mother’s identity has not been disclosed. This admission fueled speculation about overlapping pregnancies and multiple partners, with some reports claiming Diggs may have as many as six children in total, including up to four or five conceived or born within the same year.
These developments have sparked widespread discussion about Diggs’ family dynamics, with sources indicating he is navigating coparenting arrangements across multiple households. Despite the personal challenges, Diggs has remained focused on his professional career.
