Rashee Rice Seeks to Evict Girlfriend Dacoda Nichole Jones From His Home

Dacoda Nichole Jones, the former girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, publicly accused him of years of domestic abuse in an Instagram post, stating that his recent efforts to evict her and their children from their home pushed her to break her silence after months of post-breakup turmoil.

Jones, 23, detailed in the post that she and Rice, 25, ended their eight-year relationship a couple of months ago, after which she claims the situation deteriorated into ongoing harassment and neglect.

“I’m so tired of keeping quiet I’m so tired of protecting his image,” Jones wrote, explaining that she had endured physical violence, including being assaulted while pregnant, locked out in freezing weather following infidelity discoveries, and having her belongings destroyed.

The eviction attempt appears to have been the catalyst for her decision to go public. According to Jones, the couple had an agreement stemming from past mistreatment, which Rice has allegedly failed to honor.

“He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason,” she stated, adding that Rice has provided minimal support for their two children, rarely contacting them and prioritizing other relationships.

Jones further alleged that Rice left her and the children stranded in Kansas, forcing her to plead for funds to relocate to Texas. She described Rice’s public persona as a devoted father as misleading, claiming he does “the bare minimum and I have to beg for that.” The post, accompanied by photos purportedly showing evidence of abuse and damage, emphasized her resolve to prioritize her peace and her children’s well-being over shielding Rice’s reputation.

The allegations surface amid Rice’s existing legal challenges, including charges from a high-speed Dallas car crash in April 2024 that injured several people, though an unrelated assault claim from May 2024 was later dropped. Rice has not publicly addressed Jones’ claims, and attempts to reach him or his representatives were unsuccessful.

No police report connected to Jones’ accusations was immediately available.

Domestic violence advocates highlight that survivors often delay disclosure due to fear or hope for change, and eviction threats can exacerbate power imbalances in abusive relationships. Investigations are urged to thoroughly verify such claims, and everyone should be presumed innocent.
