New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs expressed gratitude Wednesday for the support of his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, saying he introduced her to football and converted her into a fan.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of the AFC championship game against the Denver Broncos, Diggs addressed Cardi B’s viral postgame videos celebrating Patriots victories.
“She wasn’t a football girl before I converted her over. But, I’m just thankful to have her in my corner … I don’t talk too much about my personal life, but she’s an amazing woman,” Diggs said.
Diggs, 32, who joined the Patriots in a blockbuster trade last offseason, has been in a relationship with Cardi B, 33, since early 2025. The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Brim, in September. Cardi B, known for hits like “WAP” and “Bodak Yellow,” has three other children from a previous marriage to rapper Offset.

The Grammy-winning artist has become a visible supporter of the Patriots this season, attending games and posting enthusiastic reactions on social media. In one video after a win over the New York Jets last month, she performed Diggs’ signature celebration dance.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft has also praised Cardi B’s fandom, saying earlier this week that she has “high expectations” for the team and has become a “real fan.”
Diggs’ comments drew a mix of reactions on X, formerly known as Twitter, where the clip quickly garnered thousands of views.
Some users celebrated the couple’s relationship. “He knows he got a real one on his corner,” posted user @Londy_Shozi. Another, @TAKES_SportsApp, wrote: “I want what they have.”
