Keion White, a defensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers, is speaking out after being shot in the ankle. However, the third-year pro did not address the rumors that the event followed a fight with Lil Baby.
White thanked everyone who contacted him following the Bay Area event on his Instagram page Tuesday night. He also posted pictures showing that, despite requiring surgery, he is in good spirits.
White stated:
“For those who know me, y’all know this won’t stope me from spreading peace and joy to the world,”. “Full steam ahead. I’m in great spirits and ready to make the most of this off-season.”
Even though he seemed to be maintaining his good mood, he decided to ignore reports on Tuesday that he had a heated dispute with the Grammy-winning rapper and his pals during a private party that White was throwing.
A San Francisco outlet claims that the police report has further information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A witness told police that after witnessing a verbal altercation between the two parties, they ran to the bar staff for assistance when they heard two bullets. White had been shot in the ankle when the witness returned. Shortly after 4 AM, police arrived on the scene, but White was apparently reluctant when they tried to speak with him.
According to the site, detectives discovered an abandoned cell phone after retrieving footage from nearby security cameras. A 9mm and a.45-caliber casing were also discovered close to the location.
