George regained consciousness within minutes, was able to get back on his feet, and was seen talking (he reportedly asked if he’d been dropped, indicating some disorientation). However, he required assistance and was taken out of the ring on a stretcher as a precautionary measure for further evaluation. For now, it appears he will be okay, but we will know more after further tests to make sure there wasn’t an underlying issue.
Oberlton embraced George after he came to and later expressed relief that he was okay, even offering a rematch.
As this incident occurred just hours ago, there are no confirmed reports yet on hospital tests or a long-term prognosis—updates from medical evaluations or George’s team may emerge soon. Speculation about causes like cardiac issues has appeared in some social media comments, but nothing has been officially confirmed beyond the head clash.
