Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier took to social media Monday to deny ever providing courtside tickets to social media influencer Celina Powell, who claimed in a recent podcast appearance that her connections to NBA players have helped her secure premium seats at games.
Rozier, who has been on unpaid leave from the Heat since his October arrest in a federal sports betting investigation, posted on X:
“Never put a bih court side ..and I damn sure never gave HER tickets 😒.”
The post came hours after a clip from Powell’s appearance on the “Deshae Frost” podcast went viral, where she told host Deshae Frost that she has “fckd with a lot of players, so it isn’t a surprise” when asked how she affords courtside seats.
Deshae asked Celina Powell how she always manages to get courtside seats at NBA games and she said it’s because she’s been involved with a lot of players. 👀🏀

The exchange has drawn renewed attention to Rozier, 31, amid his ongoing legal troubles, and to Powell, 28, known for her alleged relationships with high-profile athletes, rappers and entertainers.
Powell, a Denver-based influencer with over 3 million Instagram followers, did not directly name Rozier in the podcast but has been linked to him in past rumors. In December 2025, a streamer speculated on a live broadcast that Powell’s courtside access at Heat games might be tied to Rozier, prompting her to call in and express concern over the clip going viral. Rozier’s denial marks his first public comment on the matter, though he has been largely absent from social media since his legal issues escalated. He decided to speak on the case while also taking an odd shot at LeBron James.
Rozier was arrested Oct. 23, 2025, in an Orlando hotel room as part of a federal probe into a mafia-linked sports betting operation. Prosecutors allege he conspired to commit wire fraud and money laundering by providing non-public information about his injuries and lineup status to associates, who placed bets on his player props during the 2023-24 season while he was with the Charlotte Hornets. The indictment is part of a broader case involving current and former NBA players, including Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups.
He pleaded not guilty Dec. 8, 2025, in Brooklyn federal court and was released on $3 million bond. His attorney, Jim Trusty, has called the charges a “non-case” revived after an NBA investigation cleared Rozier of league rule violations in 2024. Prosecutors also accused Rozier of paying legal fees for co-defendant Deniro Laster, a childhood friend, creating a potential conflict of interest.
In a separate development, Rozier won an arbitration ruling Feb. 2, 2026, guaranteeing his full $26.6 million salary for the 2025-26 season despite being on leave. His attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the case in December 2025.
On the court, Rozier remains under contract with the Heat through the 2025-26 season. Acquired from Charlotte in January 2024 for Kyle Lowry and a first-round pick, he averaged 16.4 points, 4.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 31 games that season. In 2024-25, before his arrest, he posted 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists over 64 games, shooting 39.1% from the field. The NBA placed him on immediate leave following the arrest, and he has not played since. Heat teammates expressed shock at the arrest, with guard Norman Powell noting the team thought the issue was resolved. Miami has not commented on Rozier’s future with the team, though reports indicate they explored trades over the offseason without success.
Powell has built a controversial online persona through claims of relationships with celebrities. She has alleged involvements with rappers including Offset, Snoop Dogg, Chief Keef, Fetty Wap, 6ix9ine, Young Thug, 50 Cent, NLE Choppa, G Herbo and Trey Songz; athletes like Tristan Thompson and Terry Rozier; and entertainers such as DJ Akademiks, Aaron Carter and Akon. Many claims involve unverified screenshots, photos or stories, and some, like a 2018 fake pregnancy with Offset, have been debunked or retracted. Powell briefly dated “Love Is Blind” star Clay Gravesande in May 2024, but he denied a serious relationship. She has also claimed a secret on-and-off relationship with Akademiks, who gifted her a Mercedes G-Wagon in 2020.
Neither Rozier nor Powell immediately responded to requests for comment. The Heat declined to comment on Rozier’s social media activity.
Rozier’s case is scheduled for further hearings in Brooklyn, with no trial date set. Powell continues to appear on podcasts and social media, where her claims often spark viral debates.
