Regarding Travis Kelce‘s future, the Kansas City Chiefs are making a strong statement. The 36-year-old Kelce, a future member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is predicted to abruptly leave the Chiefs.

The 48-year-old general manager Brett Veach has revealed the Chiefs‘ aspirations to keep Kelce. He is optimistic that the seasoned tight end will rejoin the team for a new campaign.

Veach has conceded, however, that Kelce is embarking on a new phase of his life. Veach stated:

“Coach [Andy Reid] mentioned on Friday he’s had great dialogue with Travis,”

“I’m sure we’re going to see [his agent] here, just like we will all the other players’ agents, and we’ll continue that dialogue.”

“But Travis is the best. He’s an icon. Hopefully, he comes back and we’ll just kind of let that process play out.”

With the Chiefs in 2025, Kelce had a challenging season. With just six victories from 17 games, the team finished third in the AFC East.

In December, 30-year-old quarterback Patrick Mahomes sustained an ACL injury as the Chiefs missed their first postseason appearance in ten years.
