A former teacher’s aide at a Wisconsin elementary school was sentenced to 51½ years in prison Tuesday for sexually assaulting and exploiting four boys, including a 12-year-old assaulted during a sleepover at her home, authorities said.
Anna Marie Crocker, 34, of Silver Lake, pleaded guilty in December to seven felony counts, including first-degree child sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, sexual exploitation of a child and related charges.
Kenosha County Circuit Judge David Hughes imposed the sentence Feb. 17, 2026, during a hearing in Kenosha, along with 32 years of extended supervision upon release. Crocker will not be eligible for release until her 80s and must register as a sex offender for life.
Crocker worked as a substitute and then full-time teacher’s aide at Riverview Elementary School in the Silver Lake-Salem Joint 1 School District starting in 2020. The victims were middle-school and high-school-aged boys, including friends of her son.
The crimes came to light after a winter 2024 sleepover at Crocker’s home, where she allegedly woke a 12-year-old boy in the basement, pulled down his pants and sexually assaulted him despite his resistance. Other children present witnessed the act, according to the criminal complaint.
Prosecutors said Crocker exchanged sexually explicit messages, photos and videos with all four boys via Snapchat and text messages. She assaulted a 14-year-old in a parking lot in August 2024 after prior sexual communications. She also attempted to lure a 16-year-old to her home for sex one day before her October 2024 arrest.
In court, Crocker apologized tearfully, saying:
“I take full responsibility for what has taken place,” and “I am deeply sorry that this has caused confusion, pain and anger, and that you have to live with this the rest of your lives.”
She asked for mercy and compassion, attributing her actions in part to drug and alcohol influence, though she expressed being “embarrassed and disgusted” by her behavior.
Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis called the case a “profound breach of trust,” stating, “When an adult connected to our schools exploits our children, the harm is severe and lasting. This sentence sends a clear message to any school employee who preys on our children, in Kenosha County, you will be held accountable.”
The judge described Crocker’s actions as seeking out, using and taking advantage of children.
Crocker was fired from her position following her arrest. She remains in custody.
