The internet has found its newest battlefield: jokes about Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson’s breakup. And right in the middle of it all? One brave comedian who decided this was the perfect time to test the limits of humor.
Spoiler alert: it did not go smoothly.
BT Kingsley in a rook full of both genders cracked jokes about the split. You know the type: quick punches, relationship takes, a little bit of “men vs women” energy sprinkled on top. The kind of jokes that make one side laugh, and the other side start typing very fast.
And that’s exactly what happened.
A lot of men were laughing like it was open mic night. Meanwhile, plenty of women were not amused at all, and it’s written all over their faces they didn’t like the joke.
The comedian, of course, kept going, because if there’s one rule in comedy now, it’s this: if the joke hits, keep talking. If the joke misses, talk even louder. There is no in-between.

In all of this, Megan is somewhere living her life, probably crying, while Klay is doing what Klay does: being quiet and letting everyone else argue on his behalf like unpaid lawyers.
The funniest part of this whole situation is how predictable it is. A celebrity breakup happens, a comedian makes jokes, men laugh, women get offended, then everyone debates whether comedy has “gone too far.”
But here’s the thing. Not every joke lands the same for everyone. What one person finds hilarious, another person sees as disrespectful. That’s just the reality of humor, especially when it involves real people and real situations.
At this point, the real entertainment isn’t even the jokes, it’s the reactions, and honestly, that might be the funniest part of all.
