Christian Gonzalez might be busy shutting down opposing wide receivers, but it looks like the New England Patriots cornerback has another play working perfectly off the field.
Gonzalez and influencer Juliana Alvarado appear to have taken their relationship public. And they did it without a press conference, a dramatic announcement, or a 10-slide Instagram carousel explaining their love story. Imagine that!
Instead, Alvarado seemingly let her outfit do the talking. Sometimes, a jersey says more than a thousand words.
The influencer showed up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday wearing Gonzalez’s No. 0 jersey during the Patriots’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots won 20-3, giving fans plenty to celebrate.
Apparently, the scoreboard was not the only thing attracting attention.
Alvarado later shared an Instagram post on Monday that appeared to offer a subtle glimpse into their romance.
“HER! 😮💨” Gonzalez wrote in the comments.
Alvarado replied, “mwah❤️” with a red heart emoji.
The pair were not seen in together in the photos Alvarado shared.
It came after New England locked down Gonzalez earlier this month, agreeing to a four-year, $135 million contract extension to make him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.
Alvarado’s appearance added a little extra celebrity gossip to an already successful afternoon for New England. Patriots fans got a win, an impressive defensive performance, and fresh relationship speculation. Not a bad Sunday at all.
Whether the pair decide to share more details remains to be seen. For now, the No. 0 jersey has done its job.
