Bonnie Locket, a 38-year-old OnlyFans content creator with 1.6 million Instagram followers, has announced plans to marry herself in a beach ceremony next month, citing repeated infidelity in past relationships as the reason she no longer trusts partners with her future.
Locket, who shares provocative images on social media under the handle @bonnielocketxox, said she will hold the sologamy event — a self-commitment ceremony — on an Ibiza beach in May. She plans to wear a custom Galia Lahav wedding gown valued at more than $20,000 and gift herself a custom three-carat yellow diamond ring worth more than $25,000, according to a press release obtained by Us Weekly and reported by the New York Post.
“I found myself in a position where I’m 38 years old and I’ve been disappointed by so many men,” Locket said in the statement. “There are so many women out there like me that have been disappointed by men and they get to this ripe old age of not having children, the body clock’s running out, and we’re not married or settled down. We’re just on our own.”
Locket described an 11-year relationship that led to a nine-month marriage she said collapsed after she learned her husband had allegedly cheated throughout. She later moved to Ibiza with a new partner, only for that relationship to end amid similar allegations of infidelity. She has been single for seven months — her longest stretch without a partner since her teenage years.
“If I’m going to be on my own, I’m going to make an absolute statement about it. I can’t disappoint myself,” she said. “This can’t end in divorce. This can’t end in infidelity, and I won’t be hurt by myself. I think I’m the one person I would trust with that vow.”
Locket said she still believes in marriage but not with another person. She intends to reclaim the meaning of her dream wedding dress, which she has wanted since childhood, and celebrate her independence.
“I’ve already had a normal diamond before with my ex-husband, so I wanted something different. I want to be married. I believe in marriage. I just don’t believe in it with another human,” she said. “I feel full without having a partner. For me to have ended up 38, no kids, on my own in a different country and surviving, I think that deserves celebrating.”
The ceremony will be attended by a small group of close friends. Locket hopes the public act of self-love will inspire other women facing similar heartbreaks and societal pressure to marry and have children.
Sologamy, while not legally binding in most jurisdictions, has gained attention in recent years as a symbolic gesture of self-empowerment and personal fulfillment. Locket is not the first public figure to pursue such a ceremony, but her high-profile announcement highlights a growing conversation around singlehood and self-reliance.
The story was first reported Wednesday by the New York Post, drawing from Locket’s press release. No further details about the exact date or additional guests have been released.
