The Met Gala 2026 is where fashion goes to show off, show out, and occasionally confuse everyone. But this year, Angel Reese understood the assignment, and then added extra credit.
Stepping onto the carpet like she owned it, Reese turned heads in a custom mint-green masterpiece by Marco Capaldo of 16Arlington. The dress? Bold. The vibe? Confident. The message? “Yes, I came to be seen.”
The gown featured a daring cut that highlighted her curves, showing off just enough to make cameras work overtime. Cleavage? Present. Thighs? Also present. Subtlety? Not invited. And somehow, it all came together without looking like she tried too hard, which is exactly the point of events like this.
But Angel didn’t stop at the dress. She built a whole moment by pairing the look with a diamond necklace featuring a pink pendant that screamed “expensive and intentional.” It wasn’t just jewelry, it was punctuation. A final “period” at the end of a very stylish sentence.
And because preparation is everything, Reese revealed she didn’t just roll out of bed and throw this together. She switched up everything. Nails? Done. Toes? Done. Hair? Completely transformed.
“It’s just another expansion of women’s sports and continuing to build our brand outside of just being a basketball player,” Reese said. “This organization … has continued to help me on a platform, being able to be a part of something that’s special. So there are gonna be some WNBA players there tonight, and I’m excited to see (them), but that should just be the standard. And hopefully, you’ll see more of them.”
The two-time WNBA All-Star is part of a group of several confirmed women athletes attending the Met Gala. Tennis legend Venus Williams is one of four co-chairs for the event, and three-time WNBA champion A’ja Wilson is on the host committee. Two-time WNBA champion and Dream co-owner Renee Montgomery will be on the red carpet.
So yes, the gown was stunning, the accessories were perfect and the glam was locked in. But the real highlight?
Angel Reese proving once again that whether it’s on the court or on the carpet, she knows how to dominate the moment.
