Something is a little off about this because Brown has also been charged with wiretapping, which is a fancy way of saying he was recording police while the altercation was happening.
If I am beating up a police officer, I wouldn’t record it on my phone. Would you?
Maryland running back Wes Brown was arrested on multiple charges Wednesday. According to multiple reports, Brown was charged with second degree assault, theft less than $1,000 and wiretapping.
College Park police had been searching for Brown on Wednesday and when he was found he allegedly assaulted a police officer before running away. University of Maryland Police spokesman Aaron Davis said that the wiretapping charge is a result of Brown allegedly recording police officers without their consent.
Baltimore police say that Brown is a “person of interest” in a non-fatal shooting investigation.
I need more information about this, because there seems to be a lot missing. Stay tuned.
