C.J. Spiller carried 207 times for 1,244 yards for the Bills last season, but new coaches in Buffalo think Spiller can do so much more.
Rookie Bills head coach Doug Marrone plans to emphasize the running game, and specifically Spiller. Marrone told the Bills official website that Spiller could rush for 2,000 yards.
“My philosophy has always been that if someone starts off and they’re running well we’ll just keep feeding them the ball,” Marrone said.
Spiller had 141 less carries than Adrian Peterson, who actually did rush for 2,000. Spiller would need a huge workload, and a phasing out of Fred Jackson for that to happen.
