Byron Scott coached Jason Kidd for three and a half seasons. During that time frame, the New Jersey Nets reached the NBA Finals twice, coming up short both times.
Scott was fired in 2004, after the team got off to slow start. There was speculation that Kidd helped get Scott fired. Well, now the two are set to face each other as head coaches.
Even though it’s been over ten years, Scott still has some choice words for Kidd.
“He was kind of known as being an a–hole.”
When asked about their relationship, Scott had this to say.
“Cordial. And that’s about as good as it’s gonna get, too.“
Tonight should be interesting.
