When you are a young NFL player and not a high draft pic, your position on the team is very fragile.
You don’t want to give them any reason to decide you aren’t worth the trouble. Vikings rookie Everson Griffen didn’t get the memo as this is his second arrest in a week.
TMZ has the details:
Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD pulled over Griffen — a USC grad — around 4 PM Monday near the Trojan campus … and he failed to produce ID.
That’s when we’re told the 6’3″, 275-pounder tried to take off on foot — and allegedly assaulted an officer in the process.
Sources say cops were forced to take Griffen down with a taser — and then arrested him on one count of felony battery.
TMZ has learned Griffen was also arrested just this past Friday night in Hollywood … and booked for being drunk in public.
I could be wrong, but Griffen isn’t handling the off season fame of being a NFL player to well. Don’t be shocked if you never hear from Griffen again in the NFL, so next time he gets arrested it won’t be news.
