Charles Barkley is drawing the ire of a lot of young players in the NBA. The round mound of rebound has the resume to say whatever he likes — so players understand he’s going to voice his opinion.
Guys get salty when Barkley starts to talk about who can and won’t win NBA championships. Barkley recently mentioned that Green was too small and not “tough enough,” after the Warriors game against to the Cavaliers.
Barkley referenced Green for the major reason Golden State won’t win it all.
Young Draymond fired back — firing some ether in the process.
“I think he was shorter than me,” Green told Inside the Warriors. “You would think he would support me. But hey, maybe he thinks I can’t win one (championship” because he ain’t got one. So if he’s the same size, and he can’t win a championship, we’ll see what happens. I’ve got more years to do it than he’s got, you know?”
“A guy who’s not a champion can’t talk too much about championships,” Green continued. “I’m not sure how much he won anything in his career team-wise. Been to the finals, but… for him to say that — they won’t win because he’s too small — maybe that’s why he didn’t win. Because he was too small.”
