While the situation in Dallas between the Cowboys and Dez Bryant gets uglier by the day, a lot of people are forgetting about Julio Jones.
There have been no contract extension talks between the Atlanta Falcons and Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones’ camp, a league source told ESPN on Monday.
Jones has one year left on his contract, where he’ll make $10.176 million.
There’s no doubt Jones wants some long-term security in Atlanta, but at the same time, he doesn’t plan on missing anytime on the field.
“I’m not going to hold out for anything,” Jones told ESPN last month. “My teammates need me. I’m being selfish if I’m not here and doing what I need to do.”
Training camp begins July 31 for Atlanta.
