The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for playmakers all over the court who can help the team improve from a dreadful past couple of seasons. Their latest gamble comes on 32-year-old Marcelo Huertas, an FC Barcelona veteran, who signed a one-year deal to join the Lakers according to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski.

The signing is an interesting one for the Lakers, who already have young guards Jordan Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell expected to shoulder the majority of the ball-handling duties. I’m curious to see how Huertas adjusts to the NBA and how long it takes for Kobe Bryant to demand the veteran get some minutes once he gets tired of the youngsters growing pains.
