It was a scary scene because Ricardo Lockette was lying motionless for a very long time. At that point whatever issues or trash talking that was going on should have stop immediately.
Bennett thought the Cowboys weren’t being very sensitive to Lockette’s plight and let them know about. He had more to say post game.
“I know our coach would’ve did the same thing, so I thought that was a classless play by him,” Bennett said of Garrett. “That’s super scary because at the end of the day you guys talk about this or talk about that but at the end of the day it’s just a game. I don’t think people realize that. You guys take it a little bit too far. This guy has three kids.”
Bennett was visibly upset on the field after the hit and had to be parted from several Cowboys’ players.
I don’t know the protocol for coaches to go check on other team’s players, but it was obvious many of the Seahawks didn’t like how the Cowboys handled it.
