While facing manslaughter charges, Dallas cop Amber Guyger has been fired from the police force. This also comes after Police Chief U. Renee Hall said she wouldn’t’ fire Guyger yet.
Dallas News claims an internal investigation found Guyger in “adverse conduct” when she was charged with killing 26-year old Botham Jean on September 6.
The shooting happened at Cedars apartment when Guyger shot Jean after she confused his apartment as her own. She claims that she thought she was on her third floor but was in fact on the fourth floor. She saw what she thought what her apartment door “ajar” and fired twice when he wouldn’t listen to her commands.
Neighbors gave conflicting details on what was heard when the tragedy happened. Some say they heard knocking down the hallway and a woman’s voice saying “Let me in. Let me in” before the shooting.
Guyger can file an appeal on the Dallas Police’s decision.
