After receiving a lot of negative feedback on social media, Kyler Murray expressed regret and assured reporters that he had no malicious intent when he posted a photo of himself with a dog and a Michael Vick jersey.
When Murray was available to the media on Wednesday, he addressed the matter by explaining:
“In no way, shape, or form do I condone animal cruelty or dog fighting, whatever it is.”
“I saw how it affected people and decided to take it down,”. “So, I apologize to anybody and whoever I affected with that.”

Having two dogs, the 28-year-old made it apparent that his puppies “get treated like kings.”
Posing with a puppy wearing the athlete’s Virginia Tech attire was deemed tone deaf because Vick was charged with a federal indictment in 2007 for a dogfighting ring that resulted in the seizure of hundreds of animals. This was the main cause of the outcry.
