Ray Lewis Finally Speaks on The White Suit……Sort Of

Ray Lewis has come out with a book.

In the book, he talks about what happened the night two men were stabbed at a Super Bowl party and he was charged with two counts of murder.

One of the mysteries of that night was what happened to the white suit Ray Lewis was wearing, it has never been found or acknowledged by Lewis until today.

But, not the way you think. Lewis begins explaining that he was in a limo on his way to a party with a bunch of women and friends (some close, some he barely knew), when trouble found him. Sporting News has the excerpts.

“Remember, I was dressed out, had my jewelry on, my fine mink coat. I wasn’t about to start mixing it up looking like that. That’s the general rule of thumb when you’re doing the town and looking good. The nicer you’re dressed, the less inclined you are to get in a fight — that is, if you’re even inclined in that way to begin with.”

According to Lewis when gangbangers started to cause trouble he immediately got all his people and people he didn’t know in the limo. That is when one of his friends was hit in the head with a champagne bottle and started bleeding all over the place.

At that moment shots were fired, the limo was hit, but no one was hurt and the entourage all went back to the hotel. Lewis says he didn’t know anyone was hurt until he saw on TV two men were stabbed.

“There I was, all dressed out in my mink coat, my fine suit. Dude dresses like that, he’s not looking for a fight. How I was dressed, it made no sense with what went down, those shots being fired, all of that. Forget what kind of statement my clothes might have made. Forget that I might have been a little loud, over the top. Point is, when you’re dressed like that, you’re off to the sidelines, and here were these gangbangers stepping out to us from the shadows, looking to make trouble — but it was trouble we drove right past.”

His defense seems to be that he was dressed too well to kill anyone, he also says that during these times he had multiple outfits and changed frequently. That is as close as he gets to an explanation of why no one knows where the white suit is because he simply changed clothes and someone got rid of it.

He said he took a plea deal and testified against the defendants in the case (both were found innocent) because he had to and that he paid off a civil settlement because GOD told him to.
