The Bulls want to have as many point guards on their roster as possible since it doesn’t appear Derrick Rose is coming back any time soon.
Free agent point guard Kirk Hinrich has agreed in principle to a two-year contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to a league source.
Hinrich, who was drafted by the Bulls in the first round in 2003, gives the Bulls the type of combo guard they were searching for this offseason. While he can’t officially sign until the July 11 moratorium, the deal is believed to be in the range of around $3 million per year.
