Jason Garrett Says Tony Romo Will Remain the Cowboys QB

Tony Romo, Jason Garrett

Honestly, Cowboys fan who are you going to get better than Tony Romo right now to quarterback your team? It isn’t like a Peyton Manning is available.

With that being said it might be time to draft a young QB to groom for the future. It isn’t a great QB class, but there should be some solid quarterbacks available to the Cowboys they should take a hard look at.

As right now according to Jason Garrett courtesy of Pro Football Zone Romo’s job is secure.

“We have a great belief of Tony Romo as our quarterback,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “Tony has won a lot of big games for us, too, to get us to the point where we can play for the division in Week 17 in consecutive years. We all know that we want to take the next step, and Tony is going to be a big part of that going forward. You have to understand the whole body of work. You have to understand that winning is how we get evaluated. He’s done a lot of great things for this franchise. We’re excited about him being our quarterback.”

  • As a franchise QB, a coach shouldn’t have to announce that you “will remain the QB”. Just saying.
