Someone’s trying to tank for the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes.
CBSSports.com is reporting that the Pistons have offered the Toronto Raptors point guard Rodney Stuckey and forward Charlie Villanueva in exchange for Rudy Gay.
The Raptors acquired Rud Gay at midseason last year in a blockbuster trade.
Gay is set to earn $37 million over the next two years, with Villanueva and Stuckey both in the final year of their deals.
While the Pistons seem to be trying to add talent and return to the playoffs, new Raptors GM Masai Ujiri seems to be prepared for another lottery selection, this time with the hope that it’s Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins.
