The number of men and women coming forward and breaking their silence about sexual abuse is staggering and sobering.
US gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman joins a growing list of sexual assault victims as she alleges her former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar violated her. In an interview with “60 Minutes”, Raisman disclosed that she had met with the FBI following the 2016 Rio Games concerning the abuse.
While she did not go into detail about the abuse, the many female athletes that have accused Nassar say that he violated their genital areas while claiming to perform routine medical procedures.
Raisman’s former teammate McKayla Maroney is one of the accusers.
This is terrible and there are more than likely scores of other athletes, male and female, that have been subjected to groping and other violations at the hands of doctors, trainers, and coaches.
Raisman says that she is very angry and still looking for justice. Flip the page for Aly’s interview with “60 Minutes”.
